The style is much imitated these days, but a Van Cleef original in perfect condition are much sort after. In December 2018 Sotheby’s auction house in New York sold a mystery set ruby and diamond brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels that once belonged to Barbara Sinatra for US$ 567,000
